Yard waste removal gets the pile out of your yard and off the property. Three Crosses Land Services loads brush, cut limbs and storm debris onto the dump trailer. You point at what goes and we do the lifting. Estimates are free, and the number is set before we load.
Most yard waste piles come from a job that is already done. A tree came down, a fence line got cut back, or a storm broke limbs across the yard. Moving that pile takes a trailer and somewhere to dump it. That is the part we handle.
We cover the Chattanooga area out about 40 miles, into Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia. That takes in Hixson, Soddy-Daisy, Ooltewah, Signal Mountain, Cleveland, Ringgold and Fort Oglethorpe. Three Crosses Land Services is a veteran-owned family business based just north of Chattanooga. If the growth is still standing, brush clearing comes first and the hauling follows.

Brush piles are the most common load. Cut limbs, branches, hedge trimmings, storm blowdown and leftover piles from clearing work all go on the trailer. Small trees and saplings count too, and we cut them up on site so they fit. Bagged leaves and grass clippings ride along with a load.
We do the loading, so the pile can stay where it is. There is no need to drag it to the curb or cut it to a set length first. If limbs are too long for the trailer, we cut them down on the spot. Then we rake the ground before we pull out.
Household junk is a different job and belongs on our junk and debris removal page. Garage cleanouts, appliances, furniture and construction scrap go out that way. Small trees standing in the open fall under small tree and shrub removal. Once the wood is on the ground, we load it.
The city program leaves a lot of piles out. Chattanooga collects brush at the curb for city residents only. Land clearing debris is not collected, and contractors who do land clearing and businesses are not eligible. Piles have size limits, and each of four areas gets one collection week a month.
For a city resident, the rules are specific. Wood must be natural, no longer than 8 feet and no thicker than 18 inches. The city also runs a wood recycling center that takes raw wood, brush and leaves. Crews there do not unload, so emptying the truck or trailer is on you.
Outside Chattanooga, what is available changes town to town. Soddy-Daisy allows two brush pickups a year per address, with limbs cut to 8 feet and 4 inches. Hamilton County recycling centers take household recyclables, electronics and tires, not brush or limbs. Anywhere the pile runs past the local limit, it sits until someone loads it.
Hamilton County allows open burning from October 1 through April 30. The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Bureau issues the permit. From May 1 through September 30, burning is closed countywide. Stumps and treated wood can never be burned, so hauling works year round. Our Hamilton County burn permit guide lays out the permit fees, the dates and what can burn.
Size comes first. The number of trailer loads it takes sets most of the price on a yard waste removal job. After that comes access, meaning how close we can park the trailer to the pile. Long carries, soft ground, backyard gates and tight driveways all add time to the load.
Two more pieces matter. Limbs that need cutting to fit take longer than a pile already cut short. Disposal sites charge by the ton, and green brush and wet leaves run heavy for their size. Drive time counts too, since a pile in Trenton is a longer run than one in Hixson.

You approve the price and we put the job on the schedule. We confirm the day ahead of time so you know when the machine is coming.
The mini skid steer comes in through the gate and the mulcher goes over the growth. Bigger stems come down first, then get ground into chips.
The chips get spread level across the cleared ground. What is left is open space you can mow, fence, or use for whatever comes next.
